The people who convinced Senator Mike Lee to create his “based” Twitter account were the same people alleged to have “unwittingly” taken Russian disinfo money.

When nations are proud or their intelligence, education, information usage, and development, they work hard at it. When that stops, decay starts and other nations take advantage of that weakness. That's where the US is. Too many folks are proud of ignorance and it makes us weak.

Rule of thumb: When you have to tell people that you're not weird, then you are porbably very weird.

I'm glad that the father of yesterday's GA school shooter has been arrested and charged with murder, too. It won't bring back any of the dead, or heal the injured and traumatized. But I hope that it will make people think twice about their lax, irresponsible attitudes over guns.

When the republicans lose and lose badly in November, the Russians will be looking for a refund for all of the cash that they spent for the influence they tried to buy. So, republicans had better avoid steps, rooftops, elevator shafts, windows, and doorknobs.

Expressing one's first amendment rights is not a crime. But when corporate podcasters who make a profit by expounding their views publicly take money from foreign governments to spread false information to influence elections and government, then maybe it should be a crime.

The podcasters identifed in today's indictment claim that they they are "independent media expressing their voices as protected by the first amendment." In fact, they corporate profit-generating hacks taking Russian money to perform as Russian assets to undermine the government.

Rightwing zealots like Kelly Shackleford are such arrogant pricks.

Billionaires buying elections isn't 1st amend speech. Russian money in US elections isn't direct foreign investment. Corporations undermining democracy aren't people even if they're tax exempt. But the GOP believes that all the above are true. No wonder they're ass backwards.

A bit of friendly advice.

It may sound crazy, but just because the point of democracy is to protect everyone's rights, it doesn't mean that anyone has the inherent right to threaten democracy, nor is democracy obligated to protect them from harming itself. Their asses ought to be locked up.

If you won't support reasonable, rational gun legislation to keep the rest of us safe, then you have no right or reason to demand more taxpayer funded security to keep safe.

Oligarchs got richer than they've ever imagined under democrats. The stock market is at record highs, and growth and profits are at records, too. But they support Trump because of taxcuts. They're like dogs fighting for scraps on the floor and ignoring the steak on the table.

The AP might’ve taken Vance out of context, but his whole quote in context still makes him sound like a callous douche and his “solution” to the school shooting problem is moronic boob bait.

This is a moment in history. Dick Cheney will always be Darth Vader. He is and always will be the anthesis of what it means to be a democrat. But even Darth Vader knows how bad Trump is, and will choose Kamala Harris and democracy over Trump.

Someone ought to remind Trump that ship has already sailed.
