Good morning everyone, especially my 3yo who’s decided stripping all the beds in the house is a vital part of his mourning routine. How’s your Saturday going?

Favourite teaching moment this week: a student stayed after class just to tell me interesting facts about the Sahara desert. The student assumed I would be interested… and they were absolutely correct!

I used to love being home alone, but now it feels weird. What is this ‘being able to work in a quiet space’ thing? I guess I need a screaming preschooler in the house in order to concentrate now 🤷‍♀️

Since Carly Findlay OAM (she/her) chose my story to be part of the ‘Growing Up Disabled in Australia’ anthology, she has provided me with opportunities and ongoing support. Carly his made me feel connected and part of a community of disabled writers. This award is so well deserved!
