My nephew (9) has never learned the Pledge of Allegiance, nor the National Anthem. He had not learned that America was founded in 1776. He goes to public school in a state lauded for its public education. Are our schools run by anti-Americans? How is this possible?

My dad, who never used a smartphone until recently, is now lying around at home watching TikTok. I think it's just a modernization but I'm sad he's also one of the general person.
