Congratulations Eric Skaar on being elected to National Academy of Sciences! It's an honor to be a part of the Skaar Laboratory, and even more so to see the results of your mentorship and scientific work recognized on such a large scale!
The 5th Fred Hutch Cancer Center Symposium on Infectious Diseases in the Immunocompromised Host was such a great opportunity to engage with the #TxID community. The conference was an incredible experience, highlighting the need for #discovery in #ICH and motivating research for these patients.
Last week I had the opportunity to present #QI work Vanderbilt MSTP on #LungTxp and #CMV at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center ICH ID Symposium. Thanks to the #TravelAward committee, my VUMC mentors, and those who attended the poster to learn about new efforts to improve #TxID care at Vanderbilt!
Being a #mstp #mentor in this program has been one of the best parts of each of the summers I have been in graduate training Vanderbilt MSTP Vanderbilt School of Medicine Basic Sciences, looking forward to seeing these future #doubledocs in future application cycles!
Looking forward to representing APSA at #SEMSS2025 this weekend thanks to the work of all of the volunteers UAB MSTP Vanderbilt MSTP Emory MSTP. Any opportunity to #SupportAPSA and meet with #physicianscientist #mstp colleagues is one I cant pass up. See you in #Birmingham!
Thankful I got to collaborate with Caitlin Murdoch, PhD on another project before she started her lab University of Rhode Island. Check out this new work modelling #ZincDeficiency in mice, used to in part understand the 20% of people worldwide that are zinc deficient. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…
Proud of the #physicianscientist #mstp trainees in Vanderbilt MSTP that participated in #NLPD #NationalLatinoPhysicianDay, supporting and learning to provide better care to all of our patients!
The #SEMSS2025 was yet another reminder of the fantastic #mstp #physicianscientist communities facilitated by UAB MSTP Vanderbilt MSTP Emory MSTP and supported by APSA. This conference is possible thanks to our APSA partners Lasker Foundation ASCI BWFUND. #SupportAPSA
Its not everyday you read literature from APSA and see your picture in a figure. I'm honored to have contributed to initiatives discussed in new work from Cynthia Tang, PhD and colleagues insight.jci.org/articles/view/… highlighting the great work being done to serve #doubledocs trainees
