What a great time volunteering at the Children’s Festival.

Getting a FaceTime birthday call from a former student (from THREE years ago) made my day. #relationshipsmatter

For a final project in the Neck Tie Club, the 5th grade boys identified a perceived problem within our school (more recess time), conducted research, and created a poster, which we presented to our principal. #futureleaders Lions Pride

So these two purposefully coordinated outfits (and hair styles) today and then switched identities. The whole day I was required to call them by their best friend’s name. They even sat in each other’s carpet spot. #newbesties

This week we had our field trip to the Point of Rocks Public Library for a musical story time, library tour, and scavenger hunt. Thank you to the library staff for a spectacular time! Lions Pride

Last week was a big week. We started data collection for my dissertation study, I got hired as an adjunct professor, and I got accepted into an early childhood leadership program.

What fun we had this past week. We read a book called Bee Bim Bop and then cooked that Korean dish together, learned about 2D shapes (and practiced counting seeds) through carving pumpkins, then had our 5th grade book buddies come and read to us. #FuninPreK Lions Pride

Today the 5th Grade Tie Club learned about efficient, explicit communication by guiding a blind-folded peer through an obstacle course. #tomorrowsleaders Lions Pride

My all time favorite conference with The Association for the Study of Play. My brain is exhausted, yet inspired. Until next time, TASP.

Today I successfully defended my dissertation completing a Ph.D program in Instructional Leadership. I cannot wait to share the results of my study with my fantastic coworkers at FCPS-MD
