The UK’s problem with Eurovision begins at home, and needs fixing. Remember Monday didn’t finish last, or even bottom five for that matter. Overall they scored 88 points. But major news outlets won’t lead with that story, and would rather concentrate on a negative.

The issue with the UK getting 0 in the televote is that becomes the headline. Not that we got top 10 in the jury or got our first 12 in 3 years. Sigh.

Interesting first semi final! From being in the arena, the crowd reactions seem very similar to what I experienced there. Be very interesting to watch SF2, as the Australia audience participation was loud, Malta around me sadly had no-one shouting Kant! #Eurovision2025
