I agree with all of this and would add that the issues between the X-Men rescuing Madelyne at the hospital and the Siege Perilous are probably my favorite. They’re just great comics and a phenomenal set of characters.

The new BBB bill is just plainly unconscionable, and like so many recent actions, it truly threatens this country’s future. But I find it oh so telling that people who want respect for their holding power to account have diverted focus because they have a book to sell.

I don’t have any particular thoughts on “corporate media,” but it’s just impossible to ignore the clear conflict of interest between the commercial prerogative of political journalists and any mythologized role they “hold” as stewards of democracy.

This is one of the single best issues of comics imo. So much story and heart packed in to 23 pages.

To see someone stuck in the middle of all this, after surviving what he did, still have this kind of faith in America, its people, and its ideals is deeply moving. And it's more purely American than anything this administration has done.

I’ve been rewatching the #StarWars movies since Andor, and The Force Awakens is so funny. It’s so aggressively dumb from the jump, but then we get Rey’s introduction which is brilliantly done.
