I find it fascinating that some people assume very kind, gentle people are not utterly capable of wrecking absolute hell on you if you create an unsafe environment for them. You arrogantly assume you are granted kindness and grace after being a snake, spiteful or disrespectful.

This is why I believe jurors on sexual assault cases should be specialist and trauma-informed. Picking randomers off the street when the normalisation of victim-blamed is so heavily ingrained into society is allowing perpetrators to get away with so many harms.
