Today is a special day, the day of Rogug's 3rd birthday, which means they'll be taking the challenge of the Bardurian coming-of-age ceremony, the Binark. Spear in hand, Rogug will be expected to survive the night in the Baerian-infested woods to prove their worth. Good luck,

Wishing the people of China my deepest sympathy on this solemn Memorial Day for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre. History serves as a mirror for people today, and no matter how unsettling the reflection may be, those who do not look closely are doomed to repeat it. Preserve,

On this day 87 years ago, Japanese troops slaughtered up to 300,000 Chinese people in a horrific massacre that made even the Nazis tremble. For six weeks, the Japanese have terrorized the Chinese city of Nanjing in what is known as the Nanjing Massacre or the “Rape of Nanjing.”

BAM—called it again—there is clear proof of cat-human household transmission of bird flu. CDC scientists posted the data—but suddenly deleted soon afterwards. CDC is being blatantly muzzled.

The latest ECMWF seasonal guidance shows a trend toward El Niño-like conditions this summer. The tropical Atlantic looks unusually warm, but not record-breaking like last year. It's still very early, but these two factors may work against another hyperactive hurricane season.

In most of the world day-to-day weather variations are still much larger than long-term global warming. As a result, both daily record highs and daily record lows remain common. However as the world warms, new daily record highs consistently far outnumber new daily record lows.
