Not fact checking candidates during debates makes this (and most debates) an enormous disservice to democracy

The Supreme Court has become consumed by a corruption crisis beyond its control. Today’s ruling represents an assault on American democracy. It is up to Congress to defend our nation from this authoritarian capture. I intend on filing articles of impeachment upon our return.

Cooling off with shade in our parks in 100 degree heat during the day is not a crime. Homelessness is not a crime. If we put energy to real solutions and support rather than making it harder for those who are already struggling to get by, our city would look a lot different.

Trump is the embodiment of white privilege — only a white man could be seen as a legitimate political figure while blatantly lying, being convicted of crimes, having a history of assaulting women, having multiple affairs, and being a failed businessman.

Make no mistake: the Supreme Court is on the ballot. If the GOP takes control of the Senate, the next few Supreme Court nominees could have to be Republican-approved. We have to defend our Democratic majority and elect Kamala Harris.

The rich have more than they’ll ever need in a lifetime and the poor can barely make it thru the week. This is not the result of one group working harder than the other, this is how we set up the system to reward some and punish others from birth.
