No one told me that if you wake up early and go to the park you gain access to the secret world of The Elderly. Just dozens of old folks walking around, smiling, waving at each other, entrenched in their various routines and comings and goings. Good stuff.
I don’t know if I’d call it a masterpiece or anything, but that new Lorde record is the first album released this year that really seems to capture the mood and atmosphere of 2025. I can’t really put it into words, but it’s something that I feel pretty strongly about.
Is there a legitimate reason as to why JID isn’t a rap megastar? I’ve never met a person who thought he wasn’t talented. Is it just because he reminds people of all the garbage Eminem imitators that killed the hype for fast-flowing lyricists in the late 10s?
I’m not smart enough to know how to fully express this thought, but to me there’s something so unsettling about the way this kind of content glorifies wealth and beauty. Like it’s just so empty? I don’t envy these people one bit when I watch them, I just feel sad for their souls.

I think that within the next 5-10 years people will start to consider 21 Savage in GOAT conversations. Nobody does what he does. He’s magnetic on a track with a beat that properly compliments his style and flow. Tons of classic songs. I think it’s not ridiculous to say that.
