I'm realizing that our "appetite for fighting for kids" (as Valerie Bridges calls it) involves a crucial muscle for responding to the criticism & complaints. One way to build that muscle is to do the brave, public work of firsts: "the 1st time I/we have ever done anything like this."

Introverts tend to overthink because they see things most people miss. They don't fear failure, they fear disappointing themselves. In life or relationships. They have high standards. And they make sure they don't fall short. It's not overthinking, it's self-image management.

When hate groups/parental control groups disguised as grassroots parents' rights groups post calls to action against LGBTQ+ inclusion, watch & read closely. Notice the coded language, the skin color of the folks they select, & the people they're asking you to harass. #PrideMonth

I keep hearing how "in this political climate, we can't say ___ or do ___." Folks: pushback aims to push us back, & we can't let it. In this political climate, we should act with courage. We should say all the things. We should push for "change of," not pull back for "fear of."
