Great group on hand to cut the ribbon for the full-scale distillation column in the KU chemical engineering unit operations lab. This is one of the few labs in the country that provides students with a hands-on, full-scale learning experience. Thanks to Koch for the support.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of NASA astronaut Joe Engle at age 91. He was a 1955 KU aeronautical engineering grad and member of the NASA Class of '66. He commanded space shuttle missions in '81 and '85. He received KU's Distinguished Engineering Service Award in '82.
