The difference between except and accept can be hard, so here’s a little help

After only two days of independent reading of choice books, one ninth grader already wrote in a response that “English class” has “taught” them that “I truly do like to read.” In 2 days, with 1 book. Finding stories we love has power.

Teachers are so important to a child’s development... who was your favorite teacher?

Yesterday in Atlanta, there was a mass shooting that by all appearances seems to have been racially motivated. Teachers, do you address this shooting in your classrooms? How do you help your students process it? How do you show support for your AAPI students?

Happy First Week Back! KSU’s NCTE student affiliate will be having a General Body meeting this week, on Wednesday, January 12th! The meeting will begin at 5:00 in EB 274. We have some very exciting events scheduled this semester! We hope to see you all there!
