Love that I can make games for my online middle school methods class on Polypad. Designed this game for today. Such fun and great opportunities for reasoning and estimating in upper elementary. Polypad – 3-Digit Targets mathigon.org/polypad/iRrbxn… via Mathigon

Well done, Herbie. Pebbles is such a lovely challenge but we've never seen that approach before! We've uploaded some examples of other children's work and teacher notes with the original problem here nrich.maths.org/48 Faculty of Mathematics - University of Cambridge Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge

Mmm… perfect rectangle month. This year February is an exact rectangle because it starts on a Monday and it’s not a leap year. But it’s not as rare as I see people claiming (every 200 years apparently‽), it’s about every 10 years. The previous was 2010 and the next is 2027.

The interactive multiplication grids on Polypad can help you visualise multiplying integers, decimal numbers or fractions. You can even multiply numbers in bases other than 10! polypad.org/LqfRpJ8EnNZP9A

I wasn't shocked when Pam Harris's Math Perspectives quiz came back saying my "growing up" perspective of mathematics was procedural! Thank goodness I've been shifting that perspective over this past decade! What was your perspective growing up? mathisfigureoutable.com/xyz

There is so much great stuff in this post that goes beyond #thinkingclassroom. And I love you use of “centre of gravity”. What a great metaphor.
