So that’s eucalypts in WA, Tas and now SA dying. These are just visible species & will reflect the death of a raft of other plants & their associated animals. What more has to happen to get our politicians to show leadership (not sponsorship) for change?

A gorgeous winter’s day in #Hobart #Tasmania.

We’ve just had the best day exploring the Pinnacles NP, WA. There have to be some perks for my husband taking a job far, far away.

In Tasmania they’ve got it down to a fine art. When outrage grew at the Commission of Inquiry (into institutional child sex abuse) failing to deliver any accountability at all, the govt just called two more reviews into the why no one had been held responsible. lol. Case closed.

Look at this for an amazing #weevil in Avon NP, in the Perth Hills, Western Australia. It was big (just under 2cm), really fast and alert but I don't know the ID :-( #beetle #insects

Hobart has a rather lovely location for a Dog Park. K(k)unanyi does make its presence felt though. The dogs don’t mind :-)

Does anyone else look at #tasalert? Why has there been a bushfire patrol at Port Latta for most of the year? Surely the embers have been doused by now….

It's interesting that the government think that ads and bus banners are going to solve the lack of respect many students have for teachers, authorities etc. They must be getting embarrassed by their own prolific bandaiding and plainly silly "solutions" to big problems.
