We enjoyed our special guest, Brian Moote from 94.9 the Bull today! He stopped by OES to pick up Valentine cards for assisted living facilities from our students! Learning and making a difference!

We know our 4th grade COLTS will always be able to identify an idiom after their idiom parade yesterday afternoon! We had two peas in a pod, hold your horses, under the weather, heart of gold, and so many more! Way to go 4th grade!

Today a READER, Tomorrow a LEADER! Teachers and leaders across the district attended last week's Summer Literacy Summit to dive deep into the science of reading and develop powerful tools to ensure every student reads at or above grade level. Let's champion literacy together!

Students don't need an adult who acts like their friend. They need someone who is the adult and holds them accountable while also showing love and grace. #RippleEffect

Parents - for the teachers’ sake, please make your child (no matter their age) read a minimum of 30 minutes a day during the summer from a book. An actual book, not a screen. Even better, read along side them. Most libraries have incentive programs too! I dare you to give me one

Quite a moment just now as we went to the 4th quarter… The Alabama band played on and on as UGA fans waited for Krypton. Eventually Georgia fans loudly booed. Then they began defiantly chanting UGA. Then they put their 4’s up. Defiant energy from the Dawg fans here in Atlanta
