This feels unreal! After more than 6 years working on WebGPU, it's getting released in Chromium 113, in stable and without flags! It only took a bit longer than the 2 year adventure we initially thought it would be 😅 Read more about it here developer.chrome.com/blog/webgpu-re…

I'd like to leave Twitter, but while most tech people I follow are on Mastodon, almost none of the non-tech people are. Maybe that will change with Bluesky? (I don't have access yet.)

Binaryen has a new wasm-merge tool that can merge WebAssembly modules together: github.com/WebAssembly/bi… github.com/WebAssembly/bi…

Bluesky has some problems, but it has huge potential, I think. A lot of tech people I follow moved to Mastodon, but practically none of the non-tech (musicians, artists, activists, academics, etc). Bluesky is actually attracting some of those non-tech people, which is promising.

Nice to see lots of work and interest in OCaml on WasmGC, and that wasm-opt and wasm-merge are helping there: github.com/WebAssembly/bi…

Interesting how missed optimization opportunities can still be found in very basic compiler code, even after many years: github.com/WebAssembly/bi…
