our culture is obsessed with selling you shortcuts for "the result" when the truth, as usual, is quite simple: the result occurs naturally from the work. so you don't need to think about the result. you can just do the work and the result happens. i haven't found exceptions yet

i'm a fairly sentimental person, which means I have a tough time letting go of the past, especially when it comes to possessions. but i've realized that by letting go of these types of things, it gives me space to be more sentimental about the present and the future. a blessing

had a really lovely lunch with some old coworkers today and the topic of miracles came up so everyone shared some of the miracles / mystical experiences they've had in life. incredibly powerful stories, speaks to the enchantment and mystery in the world. God is good!

i'm not a plantkiller, honest, i just have a knack for finding out which plants have that dawg in them and which do not

i really enjoyed reading this thread, you may or may not agree with it but i think it captures what the frame-shift of stepping outside the default culture on politics feels like. imo the way we make things better isn't by tribal mob-raging harder, it's by walking away from that
