No-ring wrestling sometimes gets a bad rap. And it can easily suck, because much like other variants of standard wrestling (comedy, deathmatch, etc), it has additional challenges beyond the foundations of the craft. But done right, it's like the most wonderful close-up magic.

We're heading into the tail end of 2025 but before my 25th year in wrestling is done, I gotta couple more young talents I need to hold down.

A promotion I worked for in the early 2000's was drawing badly. As a solution, they wanted to paint the walls green so they could add in an audience in post production. I was like: "fuck, why stop with adding fans? Let's make it look like we're wrestling on the moon!"

Me. At which point I'd LIKE to think I'd immediately pivot to doing something else with my new healthy life. Buuuuut I'd probably just make the same terrible decisions all over again.
