We are appreciative of the learning partnership with KPRDSB Indigenous Ed. Dept during SLP. Students were lead in learning about Métis culture & history through “The Giving Tree”& Métis Sash & used the “Medicines To Help Us” mural building to foster awareness of important local plants.

“Welcome to School” is getting ready to kick off for multilingual language learner families and New to Canada families with partnerships with New Canadians Centre Peterborough Public Health Trent University and the amazing custodial and admin team at Kaawaate East City Public School. #StrongerTogether #WeAreKPR 🌟

Here we come Day 4 of #KPRSummerSymposium week! Today we are “Kicking it back to 2020” with a focus on the 2020 Math Curriculum, SEL and the HIIPs! We can’t wait to welcome KPRDSB educators as we invest in strong moves to support math learning with students this fall!

Day 3 was awesome! The learning about regulation & “early communicators” with a weave of Kindergarten Program expectations brought together so many important components that will support KPRDSB educators & students as we all return to school this fall! #AlwaysLearningKPR 🌟

The learning is active and contributions from KPRDSB learners already shining!! Knowing our students and creating a space for learning where everyone has a voice and finds a place in the learning is clearly a priority! #WeAreKPR 🌟
