29 June 1926 | French Jewish girl Germanie Rubinstein was born in Paris. On 31 July 1943 she was deported to #Auschwitz from Drancy. She did not survive.

30 June 1935 | A French Jewish girl, Jacqueline Zemelman, was born in Paris. She arrived at #Auschwitz on 19 August 1942 in a transport of 997 Jews deported from Drancy. She was among 897 of them murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.

30 June 1924 | An Austrian Jewish woman, Sidonie Zwikel, was born in Vienna. She emigrated to Belgium. In October 1942 she was deported to #Auschwitz. She did not survive.

30 June 1942 | 400 Slovak Jews transferred from Majdanek camp were registered in #Auschwitz. Among them was Rudolf Vrba (in the camp as Walter Rosenberg, no. 44070). He escaped on 7 April 1944 with Alfred Wetzler. Co-author of a report about extermination of Jews in the camp.

29 July 1914 | Piotr Garanin was born. A Soviet army soldier. In #Auschwitz from October 1941. No. R-2030 (Soviet prisoner of war) He perished in the camp on 6 November 1941.
