Would be nice to see a polar bear in the wild (preferably not as close as I’ve seen grizzly and black bears.)

Otherwise have seen all of this that I care about (sorry, have been La Ronde so couldn’t care less about Canada’s wonderland)

Ski hills in the kootenays are closed, but you can still find snow if you skin up.

This weekend though we hit Lake Louise, which “Kootenays adjacent” - the BC border is right behind the mountains that for the backdrop to the lake.

Employers requiring sick notes is often just externalizing costs onto employees and the health system.

It’s not good for workers or health professionals, burdens health resources, exposes people to illness, and adds to the administrative burden that is suffocating primary care.

As a black kid growing up in Alberta, Canada.

I learned to value justice.

I saw a lot of people get treated like crap growing up.

Whether it was within my community or the indigenous population and that's always bothered me... when people don't get what they deserve.

This interview with Jeff Banks on Avy risk was really good.

Great discussion citing Daniel Kahneman and heuristics in human factors increasing risk of death.

Aspect Avy looks like a great app but don’t think it’s available in Canada (too bad!!)

If this were 𝐺𝑟𝑒𝑦’𝑠 𝐴𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑜𝑚𝑦 half the residents would have been on the chopper and I’d be explaining to my wife why most of them would have lost their licenses for having relations with patients, while doing everything in my power to not throw the remote at the TV.
