You may have seen that Seoul will be trialing seatless subway cars on lines 4 and 7 from Jan next year. Only two cars per train will be replaced with these, with plans to expand further if successful. Surprised that there are no center poles which some other subway cars do have.

A few days later than originally planned, the new seatless carriages will start appearing on Line 4 trains during rush hour from tomorrow. Only carriages 3 and 4 will be seatless, with extra handles and supports installed for safety. m-en.yna.co.kr/view/AEN202401…

Hard to believe that the first section of the GTX-A opens tomorrow from Dongtan (동탄) to Suseo (수서). Can remember seeing signs around town promoting the project back in 2012.

You can now track Seoul Metro trains in real time on Kakao Map! Check out the video below. Kakao Map also has real-time bus tracking in certain regions around the country, with plans to launch the feature in other regions in the future.
