I see this a lot: Hitters misdiagnose their swing issue.. By doing it, they keep doing it worse + worse.. Example: Popping up, fouling off, just missing "I'm swinging up too much & dropping barrel" I watch the video -> They're forward, downhill + clipping the bottom of ball

Your culture doesn't exist when the coach is present. You find your culture anywhere players are present. The culture of a team is how the players act when the coach isn't around.

This is NOT why the obstruction rule exists. Could the runner have reached home plate if she got there before the throw? Yes. Did the throw arrive to the catcher before there was even a play? Yes. Did this play decide one of the best games of the year? YES

Kirby Smart said, "The disease that creeps into your program is called entitlement...We have a saying around our place, we eat off the floor. If you're willing to eat off the floor, you can be special." Entitlement is the enemy of hard work. It's the delusion that you deserve

HS dugouts should be team-only spaces. Why are parents still bringing snacks and water to their kids in/ at the dugout at this age? Are these deliveries happening to a basketball bench? Football sideline? No. Kids, you want to be recruited so start taking care of your own stuff.

The off-season is the time to be selfish. Players should put in the work for the role that they want to star in during the season. The season is the time to be selfless. In season, players should work to star in the role that the team needs. Great players know the difference.

GREAT TEAMS HAVE GREAT TEAMMATES. ✅ Bring energy whether they're playing or not. ✅ Find ways to be in the game even when they aren't in the game. ✅ Create momentum. ✅ Are just as excited about a teammate's success as they are their own. 📽️ Marquette Basketball
