Sept 23: Council directs Administration to defer the consideration of the development of a Horseshoe Canyon Interpretive Centre Business Case until after conclusion of the Horseshoe Canyon Area Structure Plan project.

Sept 23: Council approved cancelling $57,959.93 in property taxes for tax rolls turned over to the Orphan Well Association, directs admin to apply for the PERC program for the uncollectable requisitions, and approves $737.94 tax penalty cancellation.

Sept 23: A delegation from Bornite Energy joins Council to request a payment plan for 2025 taxes.

Sept 23: Council increases the budget for the Ron Gorr Memorial Arena Main Boiler Replacement project from $132,000 to $159,000, funded by the Buildings Capital Replacement Reserve.

Sept 23: Council grants the Trochu Housing Corporation $300,000 for the purposes of purchasing furniture and equipment for the senior’s living facility (currently under construction), to be funded from the Contingency Reserve.

Sept 23: Following the presentation from Central Alberta First, Council directs Administration to sign the Memorandum of Understanding to support the execution of a regional strategy, and provide an annual contribution of $10,000 over three years.

Sept 23: Council approves a donation of $10,000 to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation, with funds to come from Council Contingency.

Sept 23: Council authorizes administration to enter into a payment plan with Bornite Energy beginning January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026, covering the taxes for 2025 and 2026, and including any prior penalties incurred.
