Tomorrow, Tuesday 15th, we will on Tentergate and roads to the West of Boroughbridge Road, plus St Margaret's and Stockwell Road.

Wednesday, 16th, the sleigh will be at Greengate Lane, The Gables, Scriven Rd, Parkway, Parkgate, Park Grove, Park Avenue, Victoria Ave, Norwood Close, Norwood Court.

On Thursday 17th the Lions will be with Santa at Appleby's, back to town on Ripley Road, Bond End, High Street and Market Place, again starting at 6 pm for two hours.

... and going to the Pastures, Halfpenny Lane and Hay-a-Park on Friday 18th.

Knaresborough Lions have finished their tour of the town with the last two nights, 21 and 22 December, at Care Homes with the Silver Band playing outside for the residents. Great!

So, we spent 10 nights touring residential streets of Knaresborough with Santa and the sleigh, meeting what seemed like hundreds if not thousands of small children. A boost for everyone, including us as Lions.

Much gratitude to Knaresborians for the generous donations for our Charity fund.

And thanks to the Police and Council, whose support and guidance made it all possible. We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a much-better 2021!

Knaresborough Lions are reviewing the scheduled date for Bed Race, which is 12 June 2021.

If it is not possible, we will seek a date later in the year.

Bed Race is the brightest star in the Knaresborough firmament so it will go ahead at some time. It's a case of 'when', not 'whether'.

In January we will discuss this with the authorities and within the club itself. Hopefully, before early February a decision will be announced.

It's all a matter of everyone staying safe and keeping healthy.

Do your best, the Lions will be doing our's.

Fantastic fundraising effort for charities and good causes in and around Knaresborough through the Balloon Race.

The Balloon Race was online and no actual balloons were released into the wild.

The balloon that went furthest reached 2,794 kilometres; the one that went the least distance still covered 2,391 kms. knaresboroughlions.org/post/balloon-r…
