type of book that's pushed onto kids and teens, written like it's straight out of a porn video and the authors become best sellers and acclaimed writers thanks to (in majority) 16+ year old girls who won't read a book unless it's full of smut. we are so cooked it's not even funny

all while so many talented authors struggle to make ends meet and publish their work.. authors who actually want to convey a message, who write art... not an even more fucked up version of a wattpad fan fiction (which i didn't even know was possible until mainstream booktok)
