Our new Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) was fully opened to patients this week to increase imaging and diagnostics capacity for patients. Some of our executive team and lead Governor visited today to thank our Radiology team for their hard work.

Quadram Institute CEO Lesley Dwyer said: “We’re delighted to see our new CDC up and running. It is a real triumph and such a testament to the people who have made this happen. Our team will be able to see approximately 150,000 patients a year, which will help to speed up diagnosis times."

Quadram Institute The centre received a £1.6million grant from the N&N Hospitals Charity, in partnership with the Norfolk Heart Trust, towards a cardiac heart scanner and two CT scanners. The Charity is also running the centre's cafe. N&N Hospitals Charity

Congratulations to our General Surgery Training Team, whose programme has been ranked top in the national GMC trainee survey. Trainees ranked General Surgery at NNUH as the top training centre in the country over eight different domains out of a total of 18 domains overall.

Congratulations to Natasha Legget who won a gold medal in archery and a bronze in ten pin bowling in the British Transplant Games, representing Papworth Hospital where she underwent a double lung and heart transplant 20 years ago. Natasha spoke on our podcast last September.
