KMA held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the project, "Installation of Integrated System for Meteorological Observation Data in Mongolia" which is included AWS 20 sites and upper-air station 1 site etc. to secure observation network and improve Early Warnings on May 2 in Mongolia.

KMA administrator Dr. YOO Heedong met with Mr. ENKHTUVSHIN Sevjid, Director-General of NAMEM in Ulaanbaatar on 2 May. They discussed cooperative activities on on Asian Dust, Numerical Weather Prediction, climate prediction, ODA projects, observation network establishment.

KMA had the collaboration meeting with the BMKG delegation headed by Executive Secretary, Mr. Dwi Budi Sutrisno from 10 - 11 Aug. in Jinchon and Seoul. It was to have a discussion about GK2A satellite, Weather radar, Marine weather brodcast service and NWP (KIM) etc.

KMA hosted the KMA-ASEAN High-Level Meeting on International Development Cooperation in Weather and Climate in Seoul on 6-7 Nov, 2023. This event brought together high-level officials from #ASEAN, #WMO RAP office including the heads of #NMHSs from all 10 ASEAN member states.

#KMA is conducting the project "Establishment of Integrated Platform for Typhoon Monitoring and Forecasting" to support capacity building for disaster risk management in the Philippines. So, KMA conducts Working-level Course utilizing TOS for #PAGASA staff from Dec 4 at the #NTC.

#KMA completed successfully the project "Enhanced Severe Weather Response Utilizing an Integrated Typhoon Monitoring and Forecasting Platform (2020-2023)" to support capacity building for disaster risk management in #Lao PDR, and held the handover ceremoney on 14 Dec at the #DMH.

#KMA signed the Record of Discussion (RD) for the #ODA project titled "Improvement of #EarlyWarning System for Disaster Response in Lao PDR (2024-2027)" to support technologies for early monitoring and warning against extreme weather with #MONRE of Lao PDR on June 19.

The KMA, led by Administrator Dong-Eon Chang, held its third bilateral meeting on cooperation in meteorology with the UK Met Office via video conference on July 24, 2024. During the meeting, the two organizations renewed their existing agreement.
