Our recent study in JNER optimized whole-leg exoskeleton assistance at a range of walking speeds. jneuroengrehab.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11… Are benefits from exo assistance speed dependent? Yes! Does optimized exoskeleton assistance change with walking speed? Not as clearly as you would think. 1/7
Check out this new paper from Sabrina Abram! Can confirm working with @nat_san_ald, Surabhi Simha, @jamesmfinley, @StevenHCollins, & Max Donelan was particularly fun. I'm eager to see how we can leverage these ideas to help people learn to use wearable devices more effectively!
So exciting to see it all come together! As a former CMUEBL/SUBLer, I too am amazed (though maybe not totally surprised) that this was achieved so quickly. Congrats to Patrick Slade, Mykel Kochenderfer, Neuromuscular Biomechanics Lab at Stanford, and @StevenHCollins :) I can't wait to see where you go from here!
Sharing from Heike Vallery (linkedin.com/feed/update/ur…): We have an open #phd position on spherical #robots as motivational toys, at the intersection of Erasmus University, Erasmus MC & TU Delft: convergence.nl/2022036-vac04/
One more conference highlight from last month - what a pleasure getting to know this group of brilliant women at Dynamic Walking! International Women in Biomechanics womeninroboticz 🐳
Can't believe it's been nearly a decade of HILO! Big thanks to Patrick Slade and Steve for putting it all together
