The Ketting lab at IMB & Falk lab Sebastian Falk from Max Perutz Labs Vienna identified a new enzyme called PUCH, which prevents the spread of parasitic DNA in our genomes. The findings may also reveal insights into how our bodies detect & fight bacteria and viruses. #piRNA #transposon
