Yes And I’d be okay with a well-funded humanities lab model where the researchers direct grad students or teach a seminar or two every semester but need not teach 300 level undergrads regularly

Apologies to anyone who was unable to join this evening's online talk. For the first time, we had more people try to listen live than our Demio subscription has space for. However, all who registered will receive a recording of the talk, which will also be posted on YouTube.

I don’t know what makes me feel more strange: 1) The NPS is conducting historical education via Taylor Swift album covers OR 2) I know, respect, and went to graduate school with the NPS Ranger in this photo. They are making history relevant, we can say that at least.

A curious and previously unknown use of the term "Ukraine," which appeared in a 1788 letter describing Elisavetgrad (today’s Kropyvnytskyi) — one of the key centers of the New Russia province in the 18th century. 🧵

So: I enjoy breakfast at Cracker Barrel from time to time. If they rebrand, I couldn't care less. If they get rid of the panoramic unit photos from World War One, I will riot. There is one in almost every Cracker Barrel I have ever been to. That better not change.
