I'm not opposed to the free market. But if there's a sub shortage, a teacher shortage, a bus driver shortage, and a special education aide shortage? That's a supply and demand issue pointing straight to the need for higher wages and better treatment.

I was in a PD last week where the facilitator called out toxic positivity and just let folks vent for like 5-8 minutes and it was everything. Letting your folks vent won't kill the culture, and you might find a problem you can help solve in the mix.
