#Imbolc 1st Feb #Feastday of St Brigid who bears same name as the Irish goddess. The Saint is a dairywoman and brewer – performed miracle of turning water into beer. As a child she drank milk from a red eared, white cow.

Today #saintsfeastday for St Kyneburgha (d 680), 1st Abbess at an Abbey in Castor. Remains translated to Peterborough Abbey c. 972 (now cathedral). Her statue found on exterior of Peterborough Cathedral.

Edward Bist, fireman (stoker), who died from injuries in railway accident at Bishopstoke Station (now Eastleigh) in 1870. His gravestone in #SouthamptonOldCemetery depicts the railway engine involved.
