When the AI bubble bursts, we should reflect on the dream of power that fuelled the AI pushers & tech accelerationists. Theirs was a neo-religion, fuelled by violence against all that is human. We were lucky that they failed to build their all-powerful digital deity. This time.

I do think the current AI bubble will burst, landing a hard hit on the real economy to boot. The LLMs seem unlikely to reach artificial general superintelligence thru sheer scaling. But the belief system behind them needs to be fought no matter what. Because it’s anti-human.
