A big challenge for entrepreneurs I work with is learning faster Constantly ask yourself: can I test this quicker? Can I learn from customers w/ less? What is my hypothesis & what am I trying to learn by doing this? Against incumbents, you have speed. Use it. #Fuse Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship

Great to see the founders start to learn faster and test assumptions smarter. As we say, the program is cognitive therapy for founders! And great to work with Trish Cotter Paul Cheek Kosta Ligris and Umar!

30 rounds of speed dating, 37 pitches solving everything from carbon emissions to understanding your dog better. Fantastic night with our #mitedp students and Trish Cotter - excited for the week ahead. Remember - embrace the chaos and that is entrepreneurship and that is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

Equity is messy but good test of team If you split equity equally or not (both can work), don’t let it be an excuse to not make hard decisions (roles, decision making, commitment) Too often founders opt out of their 1st team test! Erin Scott and I talked abt this at #mitedp

My fave Fusy momemts included - turning an Airbnb into a makeup lab, getting kicked off Instagram, sellsellsell, sleeping at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and all the crazy ways getting competitor info. Thanks for a great Fuse and stay Fusy you crazy entrepreneurs. Kosta Ligris Trish Cotter Paul Cheek

Two basic startup rules: 1) COCA < LTV 2) Don’t kill your co-founder Loved teaching about COCA and entrepreneurial teams in #mitedp - a weeklong Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) executive education program with executives from 27 countries. Trish Cotter Erin Scott .

Founders often struggle to explain stock option compensation to their early employees - either by giving no information about what the shares mean or making optimistic assumptions. Good framework from Eric Paley

"Running startup is driving full speed at a cliff & having faith that road will be built by the time you get there" Steph (Solstice) Jason Jacobs (@mcjpod) Sam M (@mayflowerventures) and Karim (Infinite Cooling) talking about startup journey Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship Erin Scott

Zooming forward with "Entrepreneurial Founding & Teams" Discussing @OviaHealth and how founder Paris Wallace leads through change. When pivoting there are implications for employees, culture and structure - lead appropriately. Co-teacher: Erin Scott Case: Jeff Bussgang Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship

Great panel in class yesterday which focused around honest conversations about hard things: co-founder discussions in the early days, Founder Agreements, equity splits, and real founder exhaustion. Thank you to our candid, hardworking and incredible panelists and Erin Scott
