The second paper from my PhD is out in Clinical & Translational Immunology! We explored the phenotype and effector functions of Vδ1 and Vδ2 T cells within ART-treated HIV.
Huge thanks to Jennifer Juno Wen Shi Lee Stephen Kent & Kathleen for all their support!
So excited to share my first first author paper out in European Journal of Immunology, investigating mechanisms to enhance Vγ9Vδ2 T-cell TCR-dependent and independent effector functions 🎉🎉 Jennifer Juno The Viral and Vaccine Immunology Lab
Huge thanks to everyone involved!!

Had a blast at the #ASI2022MEL poster sessions this week, presenting part of my PhD project 'Anatomical distribution of human gamma delta T cell subsets'
What a busy week at #ASI2022MEL ! Lots of posters and talks from The Viral and Vaccine Immunology Lab and a mentorship award for Stephen Kent 🎉 Looking forward to AVS 2022 coming up this week
Looking forward to #ASI2022MELB this week! This afternoon, Jennifer Juno and Amy Chung are chairing the vaccines session. Check out posters from our PhD students Devaki Pilapitiya (#81, today) Kirsty Field (#35, Wednesday), and Thu Do (#128, Thursday)...
So proud of the The Viral and Vaccine Immunology Lab team for our latest story looking at SARS-CoV-2 spike-specific CD4 T cells. Fantastic work led by Kathleen Wragg, Wen Shi Lee and Marios Koutsakos, and only possible with our dedicated cohort participants. Brief 🧵below:
Doherty Institute researchers Jennifer Juno in collab with Kirby Institute, UNSW have shown that the body’s T cells provide long-lasting memory against the virus following vaccination or infection from COVID-19.

Fantastic presentation by Kirsty Field from the The Viral and Vaccine Immunology Lab, representing Vδ2+ T-cells at #lorneiandi VIIN
If you need a break from COVID-related papers, check out our latest work in Cell Reports, where we describe an IL-23 responsive subset of human Vd2 T cells.

Defined by high CD26 expression, these cells are present in adults and neonates...
1/ Excited to share @kentlaboratory's first pre-print! With Hyon-Xhi and Adam Wheatley, we characterised the B and T cell response to #SARS -CoV-2 spike in 41 convalescent adults. Great collaboration cross the Doherty Institute WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute) WHO CC Influenza Melbourne. What did we find?
