Can’t like this, but it’s definitely worth a share. Over 70 loved ones didn’t go home after working on a farm in 2024, more than double previous years. We have to be better.

What’s my dream gig - this 👇🏻 my three favourite things, projects, music and food! I’m sure we can make it agriculturally focused 😎

Nathan and I went out soil sampling, little G decided to come with us and give the ponies a bit of work. The rain this week and cooler weather has put us all in much better moods.

Completely forgot I ordered this late one night under the influence of a G&T. It’s love at first site 🤣 #KeepTheSheep #FormAndFunction #FunnyDunny

Scientist by day, artist by evening. Next attempt will be a Bilby. Happy Easter everyone, hope you get to enjoy the chocolate with good company. If your seeding, may it be breakdown free.

My mums a wise old chook, she says “Kirstie, if you don’t have expectations you don’t get disappointed” so I’m taking her advice and deleting the weather apps. It’s going to be a long winter but I know that we’ve got this #BeenThereDoneThat #DrySeasons #DecisionsDecisions

Never be afraid to have a go 🐴Georgie did today when offered a drive of her school teachers Clydie. We had missed the juniors class so straight into the Open ladies & FIRST place 🥇 with her points contributed to Spot On getting the high point horse award. #FeathersAndFlares

Morning you lot, hope you had a lovely Mothers Day weekend. We had a great time with Nathan and the kids doing our favourite family thing - fencing. Not a joke, getting to work together as a team and make something that will last for our lifetimes is great bonding. ☺️

Question for you Agvocate_Au that was posed during today’s fencing program. Did the wombat chose and dead tree for its burrow or did the burrowing activity kill the tree? Theres plenty in the forest, its ok if he did but we did wonder 🤨

Echuca steam festival. Another chance for Georgie to drive the Clydies, she just loves them. And for Nathan to indulge his love of antique machinery and a bit of farrier work on the side. He reckons they still beat doing little ponies.

Sown back on the 30th March for rain that didn’t come. Testament to quality coated seed that it stuck around for 2 months and launched this weekend on 26ml. Will have just enough cover for the singles. Here it comes #Lambing2025

I’ve been on a sock journey, don’t like the thick ones, don’t like the thin ones that have toe blow outs and heel failures in a few weeks. Found my winner, affordable Aussie made merino from Creswick, I buy in bulk for a discount (im a farmer, we’re hoarders right 😎)

Got a bit of rain coming for the next week which is going to put some puddles in the paddocks and a proper flow in the creeks, might even test the banks a bit. We are in week 4/5 for the lambing ewes so most in the ground already, will be a soggy landing for those to come…

Bring it on in Vic! Plus the environmental benefits. It costs $$$ to fence out creeks, slopes, veg areas and disrupts wildlife movements. This tech is a win win for everyone

Silky oaks Grevillia robusta are the most beautiful Aussie Xmas tree with their golden candles in summer. Ground a tad to dry and hard for the shovel so Jolene is on the job.
