3 brown long eared #bat #juveniles in my care now - still one of my favourite species 😍. Worrying but not surprising that they are struggling to find food. We need a massive overhaul of attitude & action for #insects #actionfornature

Nothing better than feeling the wind on your face, listening to and watching birds and inspiring the younger generation to be wild at heart! #wildlife #NatureLover #outdoors

Another reminder not to use fly traps!!This girly was stuck, in a poor state and it took daily baths to get everything off. Remember that insects are good and very much needed! Pics just after rescue, a few days later then before release #batcare #rehabilitation #insects

Great diverse turnout to a bat event last night with >200 people! Surreal watching my #autumn watch segment but its a great summary of #batcare. Only a few pips emerged but people’s reaction to hearing them is precious. #bats #churches Essex Bat Group

Lovely to be the guest speaker at the Billericay Rotary Club Charter Lunch today and hear about their wonderful members and charitable contributions. Truly inspiring. Hope I also inspired some #wildlife #action #bats Essex Wildlife Trust Essex Bat Group

Thankfully #batcare during winter is quieter but we always get a few disturbed from building works. This lady was under a tile lifted to fix a water leak. A reminder to always think bats could be present. She will be released when it’s a tad warmer! #bats

I did not expect my job to be so varied!I’ve learnt so much, especially about livestock management over the past few weeks (lambing), and I am so very grateful for such a fantastic team. Couldn’t ask for better people 😊 Essex Wildlife Trust #conservation #grazing

After receiving a nasty cat attack lactating female (sadly not a good outcome), feeding and watching this little girl go from strength to strength helps! #batcare #pups #rehabilitation
