How about the house republicans increase IDEA funding to level promised in the bill. Currently sped funding is far below the promised 40% amount. Even going to 20% would be a large improvement.

Are we celebrating using public funds to bus students to the state capitol for a political rally? This is clearly a violation of state law by using education $$ and resources for political purposes.

I love public education because sometimes students are the best of us!

On another note the Utah Legislature has been GOP ran for over a century!

Hopefully our valuable Sen. Johnson learns to source his material better. The Babylon Bee is a satirical newspaper. So nothing in it us true!

Happening now: Florida Gov/presidential Candidate Ron DeSantis addresses the recent controversy about the FL Board of Education standard that teaches "slaves developed skills" that could be used for "personal benefit." KSL NewsRadio #utpol

Several utah lawmakes including Jacob Anderegg John D. Johnson Todd Weiler stood the while DeSantis defended ed policy on slavery being beneficial for slaves. FL Stndrd depicts American slavery as the best of all and even beneficial. Disgusting am Disappointing #UTpol

The most messed up part of the FL standards is that they essentially place slave owners in America in the role of white saviors. Attributing landowners for providing education and health care to the slaves.

Long winded way to say that money is all that matters!

For sec it seems as the Ron DeSantis realizes just how how horrid the new FL standards are. He distances himself even pressed after his example (almost W4W from the Fl standards). Nope. Instead, he leans into racism again.

Are these #UTleg this comfortable with racism. Standing there as Ron DeSantis represents slavery as a trade school.
