Explorers made French Toast and Bacon, One Pot Ratatouille with Pasta and Hot Chocolate. We also learned First Aid skills and heard stories of them being put into practical use. Thanks to Carole Allan and Jim Duffy from JNI Scout Group Paisley for leading the activities tonight.

Cubs took advantage of the dry weather to have a short hike to Glen Moss. Thanks to parents who came along to help, especially Andrew who demonstrated the power of a traditional torch! Back at the hall we warmed up with hot chocolate ☕️

Cold but fun night for Birkmyre Explorers Zodiac camping at Fordell Firs. Some chose to stay in tents while other braved the underground caves. Warm food and drink were on tap to warm up cold Explorers. Thanks again to our friends at JNI Scouts for an excellent night.

Cubs started with a bit of stargazing to finish off the Astronomer badge, then made lots of Christmas decorations. We awarded the last badges of the term, including Chief Scout Silver for Harry. The Cub Cup for the Six with the most points this term, won by the Blues.

Programme planning under the starlight for Birkmyre Explorers. A short hike up The Cairn area and a chance to roast marshmallows on the fire while chatting about future programmes covering International, Community and Values. Back to Scout Hall for some much needed hot chocolate
