Thanks @GLBW_UMN for sponsoring my attendance to #marbleseed2023. I enjoyed the 'organic' connection, networking and learning experience. Crop diversification builds resilience and is worth the effort.

Enjoyed the Women in Crop Science Coffee today #WiCS #GlobalWiCScoffee Raysa Gevartosky . The department (and the world) has come a long way since 1988. Still a lot more to do!

Great start in our #oat breeding program. New crossing protocol! Thanks Noah DeWitt for sharing it and Tadele for leading it. Field trials planted before April in the shortest Spring ‘window’ ever thanks Lucas Berger Munaro @aanupdkl Raysa Gevartosky Milcah Kigoni #Sheila Jessica Rutkoski

Off to a great #oat field season! Our yield trials planted the last week of March showed good emergence. Pic of our fully randomized stage 2,3,4 single trial #PlantBreeding #Illinois #SmallGrains

My feedback has tons of #intercropping tweets! So glad to see these initiatives that I have to share ours lead by Milcah Kigoni. We harvested mixtures between 24 #oat and 4 #peas, 378 awesome plots. Great teamwork by the UIUC Small Grains. Yield and forage quality coming soon!

So excited to see our contribution to rapid generation advancement in #oat. We combined #SpeedBreeding with high-density planting in low-nutrient media and accelerated flowering ~ 20-25 days earlier than control (doi.org/10.1186/s13007…) #PlantBreeding

🌾 Exciting News! 🚀 Our latest publication is out. We combined 'speed breeding' 💡with high-density planting and low-fertility media in SSD to reduce Spring Oat flowering time by 20-25 days! 🌱💨 #PlantBreeding #Oat #SpeedBreeding 👉 [link.springer.com/article/10.118…]
