After seizing the Ahdath Prison in #Mosul in 2014, ISIS made changes to the facility, and converted it into its most feared security prison. ISIS committed grave violations of prisoners’ rights, including systematic torture.

In an interview with the ISIS Prisons Museum, al-Attar recounted that an ISIS judge had ordered his execution. He was forced to wear an orange execution suit in preparation for his execution but survived because the prison was bombed.
