It’s hard to say why I love this paragraph by Eula Biss so much, but I reread it every so often. Maybe just the subtle movement and economy of it, the way she takes us from one mental state to another in just a few lines. It’s basically a perfect paragraph

a neat editing trick is, if your poem is not working, cut it in half. then if that's not working, you can fold some of it. if you keep doing this right, you'll get a little paper bird. paper birds make excellent kindling.

Books I read last month, mostly for the #SealeyChallenge! Not quite one a day, but I’m still super happy to have spent time with all these amazing texts. #bookstagram

Historic Vids In the north of Denmark there is an amazing place where two seas meet - the North and the Baltic, which have different temperatures, densities and salinities. Therefore, their waters never mix and form a clear visible boundary. The locals call this place "the end of the world".

My book turns 1️⃣ today!! If you’ve read and enjoyed I|I, would you please leave a review on Amazon or Goodreads? It really is a helpful way for potential readers to see if my book is right for them. Thanks for supporting me as I figure out this how-to-be-an-author thing! 🙏

If you're feeling down, just remember that once you were so small that when your parent took you to the grocery store all the old ladies came up to you and said sweet things like "what an angel" and "so beautiful" and "precious" and you are still, yes, all of those things 💛
