Calling it a coup will make you an Ennahda sympathizer. Saying that it responded to the will of a majority of the population will put you on the putschists' side. Is there a middle ground?

"I see the risk of a potential coup-type situation. But the current state of affairs doesn’t constitute a full-fledged coup." For context on the developments in Tunisia, we spoke on Monday with Thameur Mekki, editor of independent Tunisian outlet Nawaat. madamasr.com/en/2021/07/28/…

Safia Farhat was a member of the École de Tunis, a group of artists who turned to craft in their explorations of Tunisia's heritage. The tapestries made by Farhat in collaboration with women weavers can be viewed at Abdallah and Safia Farhat Foundation in Radès. #modernartmaghrib

The Russian artist Aivazovsky is actually Armenian Aivazian. Artist Malevich, writers Gogol and Bulgakov are Ukrainians. "Soviet" inventors of the first helicopter - Sikorsky, satellite - Korolev and plane - Tupolev were repressed Ukrainians. (1/2)

Let's talk again. NATO countries were not going to attack Russia. Ukraine did not plan to attack Crimea. The Russian military is dying, not defending their country, but trying to occupy another. There were no rational reasons for this war other than 🇷🇺 sick imperial ambitions.
