This week, I participated in a town hall in Denver City, which was hosted by Texas Counties. At the event, I spoke about issues impacting our rural counties and engaged in a Q&A session with attendees. Real change happens at the local level.
Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending and leading the opening prayer at a town hall in Odessa, hosted by Rep. August Pfluger and featuring Rep. Jim Jordan. During the event, the congressmen addressed a variety of issues affecting West Texas.
This week, I had the opportunity of attending a luncheon celebrate the 100th year of scouting for the Buffalo Trail Boy Scouts in Odessa. As Eagle Scouts ourselves, Rep. Rep. Brooks Landgraf, Rep. Tom Craddick, and I had the opportunity to share how scouting has shaped our lives.
Yesterday, I had the honor of joining Senator Ted Cruz to celebrate the I-27 Numbering Act becoming law. I-27 is set to traverse through Midland Odessa and Big Spring. The interstate's development will allow for safer and faster travel, while also boosting the West Texas economy.
Thank you to Texas Public Policy Foundation for the opportunity to speak on this great energy panel with some of the best minds in the industry. Texas can, and will, power the future initiatives of the United States. Energy reliability is synonymous with economic prosperity and liberty for all.
Yesterday, I spoke at the Midland Republican Women's Club, where Jill and I got to reunite with many familiar faces. Our conversation centered around the recent wildfires and the commendable efforts of Texas Division of Emergency Management and other agencies in swiftly and effectively responding to this crisis.
