Safety rules and regulations are literally written in blood. Workers have bled, lost appendages, and lost their lives to create today's safety rules. To not respect the rules, or worse to be an employer who doesn't commit to safety, is to say you don't care about the sacrifice.

If safety is only a management initiative, it will never become a culture. One of the biggest gaps in workplace safety today is the disconnect between what leadership says and what workers experience.
