Not often talked about aspect of being an iOS developer: As the client-side piece, you're the end-of-the-line technologically and, usually, organizationally. So a big component of this work is working backwards, up the org: how's this designed? API behavior? this is broken. etc.

I think one of the most destructive myths in software is that it costs more or takes longer to develop higher-quality code. IME, the higher the quality, the faster the development goes. You cannot be fast if you can't trust your code.

Trying to simplify #SwiftUI app architecture by not using ViewModels seemed like a bad idea to me. But after giving it a go, I think I like the approach. Your views become simpler to instantiate. You don’t have to fight the architecture to use #SwiftData. Let’s see how it scale
