I've been eagerly awaiting the release of the Pacific Attitudes Survey Vanuatu, from Kerryn Baker & co. The earlier Samoa survey was full of rich insights into Samoans’ views of Australia & other states vying for influence in the Pacific, and the Vanuatu survey is the same 🧵

PM Natano loses in Funafuti, but former Minister of Foreign Affairs Simon Kofe returned. Both Health Minister Isaia Taape and Transport Minister Nielu Meisake lose in Vaitupu (replaced by former High Commissioner to NZ Paulson Panapa and Maina Talia).

Tuvalu election results out! Only Nanumea, Nukulaelae, and Nukufetau returning both incumbents. One incumbent unseated in Niutao, Nui, Nanumaga, and Funafuti. Both incumbents unseated in Vaitupu.
